Tsutomu Yamazaki was born December 2, 1936. He is a Japanese actor. He won the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Actor in 1984 for The Funeral and Farewell to the Ark. He also played in the film Departures which is the first Japanese production to win the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2009.
